VINTAGE RARE $2 STAR FIRST DAY ISSUE 1976 TWO DOLLAR 1ST CHICAGO STAMPED VNC:
$58.99

This sale features a First Day Issue $2 Federal Reserve Note STAR NOTE. This note is denoted as Series 1976 (the Bicentennial Year) and was printed for the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, IL (Letter \"G\"). The reverse shows the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776.

The note shown - serial number G 00527053 * - is the exact one you will receive.

This crisp, attractive bill has minimal rounding on all 4 corners, good color, a bright green seal, and no holes, tears, creases, folds, wrinkles, rough edges, or missing pieces.  It is vividly postmarked (from the Wicker Park Station Post Office in Chicago, Illinois) on the First Day of Issue (April 13, 1976) over a 13-cent state of Louisiana stamp.

This (rarer) example of a First Day Issue stamped and postmarked on the reverse (most are marked on the front) has a near-flawless front; there is some purple ink near the top left corner, almost certainly from another bill, similarly marked and placed on top.

This series had a short print run - only 1,280,000 Chicago Star Notes were printed in 1976; many less are First Day of Issue stamped in excellent condition.

The note is protected in a plastic sleeve in which it will be shipped FREE by USPS First Class Mail.

Good luck and happy offerding!
