VINTAGE RUSSWIN MORTISE LOCK w/ KEY - 5 1/2\" faceplate: RECONDITIONED! (9833-7)
Vintage: REVERSIBLE: Extremely well made, heavy duty mortise lock!
Victorian era, circa 1920-1940, heavy brass face plate, clearly maker marked RUSSWIN, one of the better known Connecticut hardware manufactures of door hardware in the middle and late 19th Century.
Brass front plate measures 5 1/2\" by 7/8\" wide by 1/8\" thick. Back of the plate shows \'370\' in the brass casting.
Box is 3 1/4\" deep from the back of the front plate and it is 3 5/8\" top to bottom. Screws are on 4 7/8\" centers. Step back from the front of the front plate to the center of the knob post hole is 2 1/2\". The distance from the center of the knob post hole to the center of the round portion of the key hole is 2 1/4\". The lock is reversible.
Very clean inside and out, extremely well made, functions very well, with key!
