Vintage Shelley China Countryside Chintz Flower Oleander Tea Cup & Saucer 1945 For Sale
You are invited to offer on this vintage Shelley china oleander tea cup and saucer decorated with the Countryside pattern c1945. I'm not sure if this is an original set because the saucer indention is quite large for the cup and both backstamps date to the same year but are slightly different (see final photo).This lovely chintzware cup and saucer have been transfer decorated with pretty flowers and plump raspberries on a pastel yellow background. The outside of the cup has a molded petal detail glazed a pastel pink colour. Underneath each piece is fully backstamped and includes the pattern name. The saucer measures 5.75" across and the cup measures 2" tall by 5" wide. This cup and saucer is in excellent condition with no damage just an extremely tiny nibble under the foot of the saucer.A lovely vintage Shelley Countryside chinzware cup and saucer to add to your collection.Please feel free to ask me any further questions and take a look at my other vintage chintzware for sale.
