We believe that this item is a sealing wax holder. It has a push-up base inside with a smaller holder beside that we believe would have held a candle. It is fully hallmarked for London 1922, together with the maker\'s mark for G.H. James & Co.The piece weighs approx. 27g (0.85ozt).

Condition: Overall in good condition with some wear consistent with age. There is some surface scratching and wear.The hallmarks are a little rubbed. The piece is overall a little tarnished and would benefit from a careful clean and polish.
