VINTAGE JACOBUS STAINER VIOLIN ----- Full size 4/4 ----- My best guess is this was made in the 20\'s or 30\'s, but another Luthier told me probably even ten years older. Excellent condition, no cracks or repairs. Fully restored and ready to play. Expert set up. There is a elastic band mark in the finish due to someone left a chin rest pad on and stored it that way for years. It rubbed out pretty smooth. The varnish is original and it rubbed out to a fine luster. Minor charecter blemishes, please see photos, they are clear. New Dominant strings, New ebony Parisian eye inlaid end pin, New ebony Parisian eye inlaid Pegs that are perfectly fitted and turn very smoothly. New carbon fine tuning tail piece, the screws turn like butter. Fine tuned bridge. New ebony chin rest. The measurements are approx.: 23-1/2\" long, body 14-1/4\", upper 6-3/8\", lower 7-15/16\". Nice, sweet, deep body Stained sound. Excellent action and response. The violin will be expertly packed and promptly shipped. I will include a case suitable for shipping.
