Vintage Wool Hooked Rug Pinks Pastels Oval 48" X 24" Florals For Sale
THIS rug belonged to my mother and was used in our summer cottage. It is in shades of pinks with pastels. The rug has no stains, or wear spots or offensive odors.(it smells like an antique not offensive)It was used therefore a tiny bit faded (Please see the reverse side pic three) It has not been washed therefore it is not squeeky clean, it has no stains whatsoever. It measures 24 x 48 inches. It has a TOTALLY faded label on the reverse which shows up as a white spot on the reverse...the spot is THE LABEL NOT A SPOT.It is hand stitched and can easily be removed in a second, literally. The back binding is intact all around and hand stitched. It was made by a company named, BEACON RIDGE, WAS HOOKED IN JAPAN IN THE 40'S OR 50'S I know this because I have the collection of rugs she used in the cottage and they were all made by the same company and all wool. I will be selling 5 more hooked rugs all in the same strong condition. SOME PEOPLE USE THE BACK SIDE OF THE RUG INSTEAD OF THE FRONT IF THEY WANT THE ORIGINAL COLORATION.
