Vintage Ca.1900's Or 1920's Wool Sports Collar Jersey Baseball Or Lacrosse? Old:
For offer is an original, vintage circa 1940’s or 1950’s pair of VERY LARGE “Dependable BLUE TOP Garments” Company BLUE CLOTH COVERALLS Work wear Suit! This terrific old workman’s suit is a full-body piece of clothing with pants and zip-up chest area. This isn’t exactly denim but it is a similar kind of cotton blend with a nice, striped pattern. I am unfamiliar with these old “Blue Top” work clothes brand but the outer tag states the clothes were “Unconditionally Guaranteed” and “Sanforized.” The suit was probably designed for workers, manufacturers, auto mechanics, etc. It has both snaps, a large zipper area from crotch to mid-chest with a snap and a button at the very top, just below the collar. This terrific workwear suit has several holes around the forearms and a few other holes and wear areas here and there. The right forearm area around the wrist has the most tearing and holes. The suit has several pockets for tools and items. This is a terrific, worn but nice vintage worksuit. I’m assuming it’s from the 1950’s but might be from the late 1940’s but probably circa 1945-1955. I was not able to find out much information about the manufacturer. Here are some measurements we get: (these will be added shortly). Please let me know if you have any questions whatsoever. Here is the correct description for this item: For offer is an original circa 1900’s - 1920’s W. H. Brine Company wool SPORTS UNIFORM SHIRT with a collar and a button up front. There is a sewn-on letter “M” in white on the left arm. This looks like an 1890’s baseball uniform, but it was probably a 1920’s Lacrosse jersey. The tag inside says, “W. H. Brine Co. 33 Franklin St. BOSTON” with “Mc Bee Butcher” and “Cash’s.” The tag has sewn-on letters. The shirt is sewn from old, gray wool. The front has three buttons up the front. I’m really not sure what to make of this old jersey shirt. The Brine Company label may have been added later. Brine was founded in Boston in 1922. It’s a child’s size. We’ll add some measurements shortly. Please let me know if you have any questions whatsoever.
