Hi everyone, thanks for having a look at my sales. Listed this week is a Amazing Large Asian Art Estate Collection. If you have been watching my sales over the past couple weeks you would have already seen some of the great items that have already sold from the collection. This is a really great sale, you just never see fresh from estate collections like this come up for sale these days, and mostly with s! There are many items listed I do not know a great deal about, so I am sure there are some really great treasures to be found!

Up for sale with is a very Rare 19th Century Japanese Kutani or Arita Figure of a Chicken with Chicks. The Figure shows amazing details and fine hand enameling throughout, honestly the details are much finer than my photos show. The Feathers look almost real being so well done. The Hen also features 3 little Baby Chicks peeping their heads out, unlike any I have seen before and I am sure quite a Rare find. I am told the Figure dates to the Japanese Meiji Period and would have originated in either the Kutani or Arita area of Japan. The Figure is in good all original condition showing some minor overall wear and minor chipping to the Chick's Beaks and the Hen's Toes, otherwise no cracks or repairs. The Figure is a nice larger size for display measuring 6 inches long by 4-1/2 inches tall. Meiji Period Animal studies are always very popular and I am sure you won't find another like this up for sale any time soon, especially with . This should also prove a fine investment for the future. We also have a Meiji Period Rooster up for sale from the same estate if you wanted to check it out as well.
