VTG 1940s Samson California Buffalo Check Wool Work Jacket with Belted Back. Made in USA. Fits like Medium.

Up for sale is a wonderful wool buffalo check work jacket from the early 1940s. Made in San Francisco, California by Samson California MFG CO. Fits like a medium (please see measurements). It is in excellent vintage condition. There is a little fraying along the edge of the right hand cuff, a little hole on the right arm, a couple very faint spots here and there, and the bottom of the inner lining is a little faded but all together in remarkably good condition for its age. The detailing is amazing so please inspect the pictures carefully.

Brass Talon zip front opening with stamped stopper and "Made -in- U.S.A. Talon" stamped on the back of the pull

Blacked domed two hole buttons

Two solid red chest pockets with button down flaps and detached pouch bottoms

Rayon lined inner body, button flap and adjuster strap backs

Pleated back with triangular belt to waist adjusters with brass hardware

One piece collar

Pleated wrists

Pointed cuff band with two button adjustable wrist

Sleeves lined with natural cotton "Mexican Print"

Measurements:

No size label but fits like a medium to me.
