Hello Pat and thank you for the questions. The little delicate glass (inserts) are separate from the colorful anodized metal holders---the colors are chartruese green, turquois,e red, gold, silver , light peach, yellow and purple. They are separate for washing...the glass insert has aglass know that fits in the hole in the metal holder... the hoder and theglass insert are interchangeable and depending if you are having 2 guests orsix can be used in any color.... The finish of the anodized colorful chromeis PERFECT...no dents, scratches or any problems!!! LOVELY!! The glass is clear and bright!!

Note...... I have added a picture to show that the scalloped glass bowl is an insert to the separate anodized metal holder. It has a small glass "knob" that fits securely in the holder...these are interchangeable. there are 6 complete sets...6 holders and 6 glass bowls and 2 extra metal holders....very colorful--lime green, red, copper peach, turquoise, gold, silver, purple, and bronze yellow..no scratches to note...just wonderful!
