TRULY EXQUISITE EARRINGS ~EXTREMELY RARE ITALIAN COUTURE RUNWAY PIECE!! DRAMATIC PROPORTIONS!

Large clip on shoulder duster, 3-Dimensional extremely detailed RUNWAY earrings circa late 1980's! Unsigned UGO CORREANI for Versace (he designed all of Gianni Versace's jewelry from this era, as well as leather goods with hardware). I've received a signed Ugo Correani belt with turquoise stones and hardware and these earrings were part of that collection.

Earrings are drop-dead EXOTIC and SEDUCTIVE! Insanely intricate & ornate BYZANTINE STYLE MEDUSA HEAD design with and VERY DETAILED drop and molded, including a 3-Dimensional 'spinner' in the bottom medallion clip ~ meaning that the Medusa 'head' is detailed/carved on BOTH sides, and it spins! THE DETAIL AND QUALITY IS ASTOUNDING ON THESE. Medium to heavy weight (they feel substantial) - these are very ORNATE and SUPERIOR CRAFTSMANSHIP. WOW! These make a huge impact ~ pictures show all this lavish detail the best!!

See my store for the belt from the same designer. Needless to say these are VERY HIGH END, in both quality/crafstmanship and design/aesthetic. Lower end designers do not pay this much attention to detail! :)

This season, statement earrings have become the standout pieces to won! There has been much interest in 'vintage' Versace from the early 90's and late 80's this season, with other designers taking inspiration. Dolce & Gabbana for Fall/Winter 2013 showed gorgeous OVER THE TOP statement earrings and necklaces in a Byzantine/Venetian style!!! (I've included pictures for inspriation) These are a combination of all the hottest trends for 2013 jewelry - estate, statement earrings, vintage 80's over-the-top glamour, and EXOTIC/BYZANTINE influences!!

They were part of the large collecton I mention above, used during the late 80's supermodel era for Vogue and Elle editorial shoots. VERY RARE UNSIGNED PIECE.

CONDITION: Mint vintage condition. The only wear I see is to the actual clips on the back - they are darker, I'm not sure if the metal has oxidized or if they were replaced over time. Please see pics.
