Vtg Art Deco "stewardess" Warren Telechron Kitchen Wall Clock 2h09 Works Great:
This is a restored Warren Telechron "Stewardess" kitchen clock. It is the model number 2H09, from
the period 1939-1944. I wish I had taken some "before" pictures, but, alas, I didn't. It had
obviously been in a kitchen for a few years, as it had quite a bit of grease on it. The previous owner had painted
over the original green with a tan or cream color, so I removed it and repainted it. I took
it to a local paint shop, and they did a great job of matching the original color. They had also cut the
cord right where it came out of the clock. So everything is original except the paint and a new cord.
I plugged it in overnight, and it is very accurate in timekeeping. The red hole you see in the first picture
(under the "12") which is white in picture 5 is the "reset" signal. If you come home and see that
this spot is red, you know that your time is wrong because there was a power interruption. Its all
done with a magnet. ( I guess that was a precursor to a flashing "12:00"). Please check the pictures carefully
to see there is no pitting in the chrome, and see how incredible this old clock really is. If you have any
questions, I'll do my best to answer them.
