For your consideration isa Japanese Chef CookieJar. He is the mate to the Japanese Cross Stitch Mammy. This jar looks similar to the Nasco Chef jar. But this jar has the distinct top lip with a dimple in the middle.The bottom is ink stamped\"Made in Japan\".Chef does have some crazing due to age.Approximately 9 3/4 inches, made in 1950\'s.He is very rare and uncommon to find especially innear mint condition. The Chef has no hairlines or cracks. just two chips on his lid. Otherwise he is in great shape. Chef\'s black shoes are not common, they are usually blue.
