Vintage Dance Wallet

The Forty & Eight was an organization made up of US veterans and originally an arm of the American Legion

The society was named La Societe des Quarente Hommes et Huit Chevaux (the Society of Forty Men and Eight Horses).

1926 marked a large increase in membership for the Legion

Have been unable to find any info on Miss Steinhilber or why voiture(car) 5 presented it to her

Dance wallet has nicely engraved/etched front and guilloche on back and on medallion in center of front

Gold swan and flowers on front medallionand is enameled

Inside is very clean

Looks to be small amount of original powderin one of the vent holes

Bottom of open side has either TC or 31 scratched into it (not extremely noticeable- just found)

Wrist chain has a drop of 5.5\" (approx.)
