Vtg Japan Army Navy Air Force Asia Map Manchuria Korea China Philippines Taiwan For Sale

This is a very nice Japanese map that highlights the coverage of the Imperial Japanese Army, Navy and Air Corps in Asia. If you notice Japan, Korea, Taiwan and part of Sakhalin are all in red which denotes Japan's control over the areas.There's a small inset showing the Hawaiian islands and another showing the Marianas. Part of Australia is showing on the bottom as well as the Philippines. The map measures approx. 31 inches x 21 inches. It was printed by the Osaka Mainichi Newspaper Co. and is dated Showa 8 Nen 1 Gatsu Tsuitachi (January 1, 1933). The overall condition is great and the colors are still nice. There is of course a few very minor tears and soiling, but nothing big or distracting. The winning buyer will have a very nice Japanese war era map for research and a real work of art to hang on the wall. This is guaranteed original from 1933 and not a modern reprint.
