Vtg Ww2 Japan 3rd Class Order Of The Rising Sun Medal Antique Army Navy Marine For Sale
This is an old Japanese 3rd Class Order of the Rising Sun medal. The medal includes the collar ribbon cravat and lacquered case. The medal is in overall great condition. The bottom half is perfect, just a tiny amount of enamel damage to the kiri (Paulownia) part only. And I do mean just a tiny amount. There are no dings at all around the edges. It really is in great shape. Even the ring is in excellent shape with no bending. The gold plating is perfect too. The adjustable silk ribbon cravat is in great condition with only very mild soiling. The lacquered case is in poor shape, front piece of lid where the latch should be is gone and so is the bed on the inside. The case is mostly still there and the writing on the lid which shows what class and type of medal is still in great shape. See my other sales for more rare items from Japan.
