Vtg Wwii Us An 6552 An6552 Leather Bomber Pilot Flight Jacket Bogen Tenenbaum 42 For Sale
Up for offer is this original vintage AN 6552 leather flyers jacket. Made for WWII Pilots circa 1943 by Bogen & Tenenbaum. Marked size 42.
This jacket is in excellent condition.
All aspects of the jacket appear to be original (lining, collar, cuffs, zipper, etc.). "U.S." stencil still faintly visible on back of collar.
Leather is beautiful. Soft, supple, dark, and shiny. No dry rot or stiffening. No holes, rips, or repairs. No popped seams or loose stitching.
Under close inspection I could only find a few isolated surface specks and blemishes: A couple nicks to the surface on back of the right sleeve. Few flea size nicks on back of left sleeve.Small indent on the left pocket. Few little white specks above the right pocket. Faint light spot to patina on right breast.
Collar excellent. Moulton is soft. One tiny bare spot adjacent to the left collar seam, not visible when worn.
Original CONMAR zipper working smooth. Still has a lot of the original black paint on the pull.
Elastic at cuffs and waist do show some small holes throughout. Overall though the elastic is not worn out or frayed.
I could not find any rips, frays, holes, or stains to brown rayon lining inside.
Inside the pockets everthing is very clean. No rips, holes, or stains.
Does not exhibit any discernable odors. Absolutely no smoke/pet odor.
Marked size 42
Fits true to size. I wear a size 40 and the jacket fits me with a little room to spare.

18" across waist
28.5" long from back neck seam to hem
25.5" long sleeves from shoulder seam to cuff
