I am one of the early bears that made this company iconic from 1992! I am 20\" Tall standing (a little shorter sitting and I like to sit). I have a movable head, arms and fully jointed legs. I have been kept in absolutely near BRAND NEW CONDITION lovingly admired and cared for behind glass. My fur is fabulous if I do say so myself. It is soft and silky to the touch!It is the fur that actually has multi tonal \"hairs\" mixed with the soft tan giving me such a realistic look! I\'mso SOFT though any child would love toting me around and adults just love to show me off. I am adorable, huggable & prized!;not a hair out of place. I bear (excuse the pun) the authentic SUEDE buttercream colored paw pads on all 4 limbs, glass eyes (eyes only marked after 2002) and a perfect black suede nose! And there is not a spot, blemish or stain anywhere onmy light paw pads! Surprised to see that every one of his son’s bears wore a tag identifying it as foreign made, Sortino was inspired to bring this American tradition back to its roots by handcrafting bears right here. His first bears, Bearcho, Buffy, Bearazar, and Fuzzy Wuzzy, were made in his wife’s sewing room and sold mostly to friends. By 1983, Sortino began to sell his bears from a peddler’s cart at an open-air market in Burlington, Vermont. It took four days to sell his first bear and a year to sell through 200. And then from humble beginnings people who cared about supporting AMERICAN MADE companies discovered this beautifully made bear and the rest is history.

THE bear is a softreddish brown.
