Very Clean - Low Action - Vintage 1966 Vox Harlem Electric Guitar:
Here's a very cool, vintage electric guitar, a Vox Harlem model, circa 1966. Made in Italy, the Harlem is known for featuring an early production scalloped fingerboard, and this fingerboard is in GREAT shape, with like-new frets. The body is in outstanding condition, very light wear. A few tiny nicks here and there, but overall ExMt or better condition. Really nice. The only condition issue is some light finish lifting in a horizontal line along the back of the neck. This is only slightly noticeable to the touch, but it is present. There is also a small area of lifted/missing finish on the treble side of the neck, near the 12th fret. The top layer of finish has also worn off a few places on the headstock, but this process seems to have been arrested. (Please see photos.) Some of the original Vox tuners have light pitting, and one very small corner bout section (underneath a screw) of the pickguard has broken off. The pickups sound good, and the electronics work well, with no issues. The original bridge cover is included, as shown in one photo.Scale is 25 1/2", and the neck has low action. Set up really well, it's a fast neck, and plays great. . Overall, a clean and eminently playable example of an early Vox with a scalloped fingerboard. PLUS,...it comes with the original Vox case!
