A BLUE AND WHITE 'PEONY' BOWL
POSSIBLY KANGXI (1662-1722) WITH DOUBLE CIRCLES
This very fine antique bowl has deep rounded sides that rise towards an everted rim. It is decorated in vibrant shades of cobalt blue to both the cavetto on the interior and exterior, depicting a peony scroll with large blooms, leafy tendrils and stems, and smaller flower-heads. The interior has a central roundel enclosing a small tree peony. Measures 6.5" (17cm) in diameter. Some minor wear, light scratches and imperfections throughout. The wooden base is not included. Very close to the comparable, could possibly be Kangxi period; to be safe we will sell as a later example, use your own judgment.
