Very Nice 19th C. Austrian Hunting Dagger In Ornate Brass Mounts (sword, Knife) For Sale
Very ornate Austrian hunting dagger dating from mid to late 1800s, having an extra beefy robust single edged blade in traditional stile, bare of decorations and showing occasional scattered surface pitting. Very thick and massive blade with beautiful false edge area, surely meant for most efficient multiple tusk usage. Brass hilt and scabbard mounts with fine chiseled and cast hunting motives in deep relief, original leather to the scabbard and lovely deer stag grip showing age and nice patina. All solid and intact on this beautiful hunting piece, needs a small companion knife replacement housed on the front of a scabbard.overall 14" blade 8 1/2".
