Very Rare 13th -14th Century Original Sword Pommel With Inlaid Copper:
I know almost every thingon is listed Rare - This really is ( have you ever seen one ) The most common part missing from a original sword is the original pommel. This one is from around the 13th - 14th century - a master swordmaker would have done work like this- The pommel is solid iron decorated with inlaid copper- The round Ball shape pommel has 7 bands of copper inlaid going it's lenght and a band of copper inlaid going around the center. Pommel has been cleaned (to see inlaid copper) - pommel is 11/4" in lenght and about 2" across - and is heavy -this came off a large sword, the tang opening is 11/2" on bottom and 3/8" on top. Pommel is in great shape for it's age but needs to be cleaned more to see all it's inlaid copper. Im not doing it. Please check all photos and ask any questions.
