Very Rare 1852 FREDERICK DOUGLASS NEWSPAPER North Star Slavery Slaves Abolition (Note: additional images are located below the description) Shown is an original & historic old newspaper, offered to enhance your collectible interest: FREDERICK DOUGLASS' PAPER, Rochester, New York, August 13, 1852 We are pleased to offer this exceedingly rare--and highly desirable--newspaper by the famed Frederick Douglass, this being a volume five issue. This weekly title is the continuation of his newspaper "North Star" which began in 1847.

Among the various articles in this issue are those headed "The Free Colored People's Convention" "Light In The South" "Free Soil Convention" "Second Anti-Slavery Festival" "A Nut for the Abolitionists" "Counterpart to Uncle Tom" "Practical Abolitionism" "No Repeal of the Fugitive Slave Law" "Abolition at the South" "Celebration of West India Emancipation" and much more.

This complete, four page issue was never bound nor trimmed, has various & scattered foxing throughout but nothing disfigurative nor causing loss of readability.

A very fine and rare opportunity for one of the more sought-after titles of the 19th century.
