- I am offering a very rare vintage teacup and saucer set made by Shelley, England
- Highly collected DAINTY shape with its overlapping ribbed petals
- The pattern I have named GOLDEN SNOWFLAKE
- The gold pattern covers the cup exterior and the saucer
- The cup exterior is dramatic matte black and also has the completely gilded handle
- Likely dates from the 1950s
- I\'ve not seen this pattern combination and matte finish previously
- Mint overall condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, staining, repairs or restoration - both cup and saucer pass the "ping" test
- Very bright unfaded inner transfer and no wear to trim or gold gilding; it does not appear to have been used
- Only a few tiny pin pricks of missed black paint applied - all production original
- Teacup measures 4 1/8" across (including handle) and is 2 1/2" tall; saucer is 5 3/4"" across
- Both pieces marked with vintage Shelley shield mark in green as shown in photo with cup also having handpainted pattern mark 139850/24 and then the number 14 in dark ochre
- Please ignore all white spots on photo caused by camera flash
- This wonderful set would make a great addition to your Shelley collection or a lovely gift
