VERY Strange 3 Dolls Abandoned on Roadside in Box, Missing Legs Haunted? Ritual?:

In keeping with our Freaky-tiques items, thislisting comesfrom ourfriend and collector Mr.Bob who is liquidating his old store stock and curio collection. While his documentation indicates a number of items in storage are certifiably haunted, or carry some sort of \'mojo\' as he says, we have not personally lived with any and can only say some definitely have some bizarre vibes to them! We take the photos, make the listing and tuck them into a separate room for safe keeping until they are sold.Up for offer, these three charming if not sad little waifs in need of a good home. We cannot deny that their presence in the room is a little unsettling, but their time with us has been limited so far.They came together and are kept together. Each has a missing limb.The story: Thesedolls found in abox on side of road, under strange circumstances. The cardboard box wasdown a slope near the treelineand not noticed unless you were on foot or riding by on a bike-- orgot out ofyour car. It was a pretty lonely stretch of country road here in NJ. According to info from Mr.Bob, agirl saw the box when she was on her bike.It attractedattentionbecause there wasa bundle of fake flowers llaying on top of it.She wasafraid whatever was in the box was something the police would need to handle and she didn\'t go near it. When she got home she told her dad. He got in the car with her and tracked it down. The box looked like it had been there awhile and there were leaves and grass around it, with thetop a little collapsed. There was no bad odor or evidence of animal activityso the father felt it wasn\'t going to be a body dump, but had his daughter wait in the car anyway. He went down the hill, opened the box and found the dolls,wrapped in newspaper and plastic, no worse from the elements. If that wasn\'t weird enough, each doll had either a missing leg or foot.There was no note but it was obvious that they had been deliberately put there sincethey were neatly arranged and hadflowers on top of the box. In case you don\'t know, ourfriend Bob had a shop yearsago at a flea market in NJ, and collected and sold \'freakytiques\' and weird stuff.So people with weird stuff to sell usually found him (the dolls in the box business happened about 12 years ago).No one made much sense of it but one personfelt this had been someone\'s sort of personal ritual. The daughter was going to fix the dolls and kept them in her room for awhile. After a week or two shecomplained that they were \'bothering her\' and so they were putin the garage and forgotten about. A few years later she went away to college, and the dolls were not found again until the familyhad a yard sale. The father of the family was a friend of Mr. B\'s, and figuring no one would buy broken dolls, gave them to Bob with the above story. NowBob has given them to usto sell for him, and feels maybe there is something the dolls have to say.As far as we are concerned, having kept these sad little babies only briefly, we cannot claim there is anything terrible or evil about them-- except for the fact they really doinspiresympathy. They may have been used as ritual symbols, ormaybe each has astory to tell.It is up to the viewer and buyer to decide. If they \'speak\' to you, I hope you will adopt them and give them a new home, some understandingand some hope.
