Very Fine And Early Sosuke Japanese Cloisonne Enamel Vase ..unsigned:
Very fine and earlyUnsignedSosuke Japanese Cloisonne Enamel Vasefrom the early 1880's. Sosuke often did not sign his early works. This piece has wonderful graduation of coloring from a sky blue ground at the top working its way down to lighter blues and finally to a soft grey ground. The vase has very thick enameling and is very heavy which is typical for Sosuke pieces. The piece weighs approx. 3 lbs 2 ozand is approx. 8 3/4" tall. The vase is in excellent condition and displays beautifully.. It does have a few very small hairlines (shown in photos 10 and 11). There are some scratches and scuffing to the enamel. There is also a chip in the inside blue counter enamel right below the top rim (last photo). The top rim has a small dent in one area. The rims are brass over copper with most of the brass having worn away. The piece has pitting... typical of this period. PLEASE LOOK AT THE MANY PHOTOS I HAVE TAKEN AS THEY ARE CONSIDERED PART OF THE DESCRIPTION. ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK BEFORE YOU offer.PLEASE NOTE: OVERSEAS buyers ARE RESPOSIBLE FOR ALL CUSTOMS FEES. I WILL DECLARE ITEM FOR ACTUAL SOLD AMOUNT AND WILL NOT LIST AS A GIFT, ETC.
