Very rare little fancy 1790s English Georgian hand made glass pitcher (w/flaw):

We are listing this very rarely seen fancy little 1790s English Georgian pitcher. Although it is unmarked (true of almost all old glass), the way it is made identifies it as an English Georgian piece, and its rarely seen blue applied rim dates it to the 1790s. The pitcher has a balluster body which is lattice molded at the top with ribbed panels below, a very attractive thick blue applied rim, a very nice applied loop handle which ends in a curled and folded terminal, and a conical foot with a rough pontil. This piece is a perfect example of the artistry and skill of a Georgian glassmaker. It is almost 4 inches tall, over 3.25 inches at its widest point, makes a very pretty display piece, and it is in very good condition, with the exception of a tiny flaw in the glass at the front (see the next to last picture), and a flake out of the top of the foot (see the last picture). Due to the rarity of this piece, it would be well worth having a glass worker fill in the flake. Please view the closeup pictures and judge for yourself.
