Victorian Cameo Slider with watch chain
OFFEREDFOR YOUR CONSIDERATION an exquisite item: Victorian antique 14k solid yellow gold chain and the large gold slider embellished with geometric and scroll motifs with Taille D\'epargne black enamel tracery, carved two color sardonyx cameo depicting a classical warrior. Slider is bi-colored gold with detachable tassel (see picture of it detached), highlighted by 5 pearls.
Slider measures without a tassel 1 7/16\" L x 1 3/16\" W and 5/8\" thick. Tassel measures 1 5/8\" Long.
A Double split Trace link chain is 38\" Long from one end to another, so it could be worn as a long chain with the slider or as I liked more, wrapping it twice around the neck, so it looks like a necklace 9see picture).
Excellent antique condition. No damage, no repairs, no chips to the cameo, no chips to the enamel. My mother many years ago replaced an original watch clip to a gold closing lock, so it is invisible whet lock is inside the slider and she can wear it as a necklace watch clip hanging. Unfortunately, that little thing got lost. Whole item weighs 64 grams. A fabulous piece for your collection.
