The vase is characteristic of the cased spatter designs produced by the Harrach glassworks in Harrachov (Northern Bohemia). Similar designs were produced by a number of Stourbridge, England factories and there is often some misattribution. The vase has a striking design with peach and rose pink spatter cased between a white opaque ground and clear exterior. The applied tightly ruffled and squared rim is done in a thin band of clear. The vase has a nice presence measuring 10 3/8\" high, 4 ¾\" wide at the body and 5 1/8\" diagonally across the top rim. The recessed base has a ground circular pontil mark. The vase is is in excellent condition with no damage, the surface is clean with no signs of wear other than some faint, light contact on the underside foot ring. This lovely 1880\'s - 90\'s design would make a great addition to any collection of Victorian Era art glass.
