Victorian Carved Wood Mantel Clock, Case w/Glass \"Crane\" on Door ++ Clock parts:
$97.99

Offered is a carved Victorian motif designed antique mantel clock case, solid wood (possibly either mahogany or walnut), whichincludes a glass etched image window of a Crane and Butterflies, mounted and hinged to the unit. A clock face is mounted to the unit, and the clock workings are behind the face, and a removable pendulum.

I gently removed (and replaced) the clock face to hopefully determine type of clock works, and no maker name was obvious, but a photo of the same is within my description for your review. The clock works have not been tested and may need restoration, I can not guaranteethe clock itselfworks. No clock key isincluded and oneclock hand is missing. The pendulum does move freely back and forth with finger pressure and then slows to a stop by itself within 30 seconds. The clock face appears to be made of thick paper mounted to a metal thin brass or tin 6 1/2 diameter backing, with 3 holes in it, 2with brass key hole round inserts, andthe center hole for the clock hands.

TheAntique case at the tallest point is 21 1/4 inches tall, with its basewith a14 1/2 inch width. The case is 4 1/4 inches deep. The case sits solid and feels secure. There is a 1 inch by 3/4 inch over wood accent wood piece missing on the right side of the doorway front, and the tip top wood curved section slightly wiggles. There maybe other missing areas on the back or side areas or inside areas of the case. The case appears to have its original stain withthe aged patina and is in good kept condition with only light soil and a few paint specks (left side base most obvious area). There was a simple pressure operated brass clasp on the left side of the door which secured its closure which I bent and broke into two pieces. The broken piece will be includedto size a new clasp if the original design is desirable, the other piece of it is still mounted by screw to the wood case. I am sorry.

Etched glass in door, with a curved top, glass itself has a maximum height of 13 1/2 inches by 6 1/2 inches width. I see no cracks, chips, breaks on the glass but some soil. It has a curved entirely wood small molding holding it in the frame, and a molding area appears maybemissing on the inside curved top area of the glass, but I\'m not sure if it was originally there or not as part of the design. Thewindow feels secure in the frame and is of clear glass. Photos were taken with a blue felt background to show the detail of the window...it is clear glass, not blue.

This antique offering is made in its \"AS IS\" condition with no refunds nor exchanged unless found not as described. Please review my photos for positive details and to avoid disappointments. Shipping occurs normally within 24 business hours or less of full payment. Thank you.
