This Civil War era gown is made from a beautiful floral wrap printed silk taffeta in shades of coral, green, pink and taupe. The bodice has minor damage under 1 arm - a tear and 2 small holes, both sleeves have stains. It has a deep point in front and fan shaped darts and fastens in back with tiny overcast eyelets for laces. It has dropped armhole seams with self piping in the seams and green piping around the bottom edge. It\'s lined in silk and has bones in the seam. The trim around the neckline is loose and needs to be sewn back on. The green sleeves have ruching around the bottom edge with a box pleated ruffle underneath of the printed silk. 32 inches around the bust, waist is 24 inches and from shoulder to bottom of the front point is 19 1/2 inches. The skirt is on a cotton waistband with hooks and eyes and is box pleated to the waistband. It has some splits and small scattered holes on the fold lines and a line of damage that follows a water stain down the back of the skirt, I think you could remove about 6 inches of the fabic and seam it down the center back and get rid of most if it, there\'s water stain on the bottom of the train and a few scattered small spots. It measures 22 inches around the waist, around the bottom is 139 inches and is 43 inches long in front and dips a few inches longer in back. I think it could be restored to be in pretty good condition, or display it as is it. Thank you for looking at my sale. Shipping based on 2 pounds.
