Victorian Cream Silk Stripe Blonde Chantilly Lace Wedding Gown Bodice Top

This antique Victorian era cream silk stripe blonde Chantilly lace wedding gown bodice top dates from the 1870s. It is made of an off white ivory cream color sheer cotton weave fabric with a woven silk stripe design and blonde Chantilly lace trim edging. This beautiful bridal bodice top has a fitted tailored style, with a layered tail drape bustle back, long full sleeves with flared lace cuffs, a plunging V front low neckline with sheer silk box pleats trim, silk covered button bottom closures and is fully lined. The top measures 18 inches long in the front, 26 inches long in the back with the bustle drape, a 34 inch bust, 22 inch waist and 13 inch back. It is in good as-is condition and has been altered with a modified folded over lower style neckline and a few faint age spot stains on the back (see close-ups). This would be perfect for display or design and is truly a wonderful piece of early bridal Victoriana textile art!
