BenjaminJames Mayo was a silversmith manufacturing both plated and sterlingware out of Newark New Jersey on Broad Street, between 1860 and 1910.This lovely coffee pot is hallmarked with his logo, numbered 887 anddated 1896. It features raised and etched designs of anaturalistic nature of roses, leaves and other ornamentals. It standson four scrolled feet andmeasures approximately 12\" tall to the top of the arrow tip shapedfinial. Circumference measuring just below spout and handle is 17\".Weight before packaging is 2 lb. 5 oz. ConditionPot is exquisite in design and is personalized with the etched name ofLouise on on side. There are a couple of areas around the name and tothe opposite side same spot of possible plate loss. There is also sometarnish. The lid is out of round resulting in a gap where it meets thelip of the mouth. Whether this was a manufacturing flaw is hard to sayfor sure. There are no dents or dings to prove it was dropped. Anythingthat looks like a dent is a light reflection. See last photo. When potstands on a flat surface there is a slight wobble. International Shipping:
