Victorian Era Antique Scottish Doublet Tunic Piper's Uniform:
Here is a neat old Scottish Pipers Uniform Coat I came across. Construction style hints at the 1880's to 1890's. Darg Green wool with silver plated buttons (as you can see missinga few) Wire shoulder cords. Lined in polished black cotton. Has pockets in the flaps and one inner pocket. Antique garment so it shows its age and should be treated as such. Chest measures 19 inches across. Great bullion wire Piper's (Bag Pipes) patch on the sleave as well as 4 cuff chevrons. The collor is close to sherwood green and dark. The photos of the rear show a glare from the camera and not fading. Nice displayble garment as is with a few replaced buttons. No makers tags or other markings.
