Victorian Hanging Chain Parlor Porch Light Pink Iridescent Glass:
I had high hopes in stripping off the paint to reveal the original metal color but just never got around to it.
So now it just sits in a box in the basement out of harms way.
I was told it was a Victorian porch lamp which opens and closes by the chains and wooden rollers which raise and lower the top piece.
The glass measures 6 inches across in diameter and is also 6 inches tall.
That is not including the metal frame which would make it even taller and wider.
I'm not sure what it was used for originally but this could even be from a church?
It needs to be stripped as someone painted it black.
It also needs to be hung and left hung has the interlocking chains kink when just sitting in the box.
My husband made the silver part so I could hang it up but never did.
The glass is so beautiful and has an iridescence color of pink with purple tones.
The glass has no chips or cracks.
It would look great in an old Victorian house or sun porch or if you like the Gothic look as it reminds me of that.
It will be packed with the utmost of care for shipping and will be insured.
I hope someone falls in love with this and brings out its true beauty.
The shipping fee is charged accordingly because of the weight, extra padding and insurance.
