Victorian Portrait Celluloid Upright Vanity Box~accessories~great For Sale
Box Up for sale is a beautiful victorian celluloid vanity box. This fine example has a portrait on the front and a scene on the top. It is one of the finest I've seen in some time. The covering is made to look like wood detailed right to the wood grain. It is in fact the celluloid. The shape is upright and is quite decorative. It opens to reveal a beveled mirror in the top, a handheld mirror, a powder puff, and two makeup boxes. The interior is lined with the original light green material. The box measures approximately 8 inches high, 11 1/2 inches long, and 5 inches wide. It is in great condition having no damages to note. One corner has a very insignificant spot of wear but thats it. There is no peeling. There are two pins missing on one of the hinges. There are four pins per hinge, so it doesn't affect the opening nor closing. The accessories are all superb except for the handheld mirror which is cracked in the wooden handle and most likely glued back. This set would make a fantastic addition to your collection. Handling time will be 5 days or less after payment has been made and/or cleared. Your items will be shipped promptly.
