Being offered for sale is this Grand Victorian Renaissance Revival Burl Walnut Library Center Table with Carved Ansonia Heads circa 1870\'s.This is a quality, very regal table that is equally lovely on four sides.The burl walnut picture frame top encases the black felt writing surface (felt appears new) that rests on a detailed period carved table apron with raised panels of burl walnut and carved Ansonia ladies heads. Stylized carved legs with rosettes androundels with a gorgeous highly carved center stretcher and the casters intact on the feet. We believe the finish to be original and the table is tight and sturdy. The only apology I can find is a small piece of burl veneer missing on one rounded end (see close up picture) and the a chippednose on the ladies head on the backside (see lose up picture). This table would certainly demand the attention of all that see it and would make a fabulous addition to a Victorian room...they really don\'t get much prettier than this one!
