Victorian Straw Poke Bonnet Flowers Label :
Fresh from a local Gardiner, Maine estate is this wonderful lady's Victorian straw bonnet poke with an inside paper label and a family hand-written note dating this to 1860. Inside crown has florals, a pleated silk lining, and a paper label that reads: MRS. CHAS. B. BEACH, 285 ALPINE STREET, DUBUQUE, IOWA.
There's a green ribbon bow on the top and green ribbon around the back of the neck. The two ties are replaced black cotton. This is well over 100 years OLD so perfection cannot possibly be expected. The straw has one old break (see 8th pix) and the wrapping and has pulled apart only if you poke at it. I consider this bonnet in very, very good condition for its OLD age and is perfect for display.
Mailing is $12.00 with delivery confirmation from Maine.
Thank you ~ Marsha.
