Victorian Sampler Needle Book For SaleVictorian Sampler Needle Book 19thC
This charming handmade needle book was stitched on perforated card known as Bristol board.
It has been nicely worked in shades of blue on the back and front. It has a blue silk interior with
matching ribbon tie. The ribbon is quite fragile and fraying. The flannel pages appear original and
have a few small moth holes. The condition of the sampler is excellent. It measures 4¼" x 3½" and
dates from the mid 19th century. Similar examples of this type of work can be seen on pages 183-185
