Heavy Victorian Antique Solid Silver Double Albert Watch or Neck Chain & Fob 22 & 3/4 inch 132 gr Bir 1899

This one is an antique sterling silver double Albert pocket watch chain with graduated curb links, a t-bar fob and working dog catches. Each link of the chain is hallmarked with the lion passant sterling silver mark. The bulls eye link is hallmarked Birmingham 1899. The t-bar is hallmarked for sterling silver Birmingham 1899 maker’s mark JR. Both dog catches work well, and close tightly shut. One dog catch is hallmarked for Birmingham 1898, the other silver dog catch is hallmarked for Birmingham 1891. The fine quality silver fob bears a raised empty gold cartouche. To the reverse we can read a hallmark for Birmingham 1901 maker’s mark CEA. This is a very long watch chain and could be worn as a necklace.

Weighs in at 132.3 grams approx.

Measurements: 22 & ¾ inches long approx. Plus the extra chain links attached to the fob and t-bar.

Condition: In excellent condition.
