Victorian Wilcox Silverplate Egyptian Revival Figural Epergne Centerpiece Holder:
I am offering this interesting antique Victorian WILCOX SILVER PLATEEgyptian Revival figural piece for a centerpiece group. It features a semi-nude bust of a winged woman perched on the top of afooted platform. On the back of the winged woman, between the wings there is an angled opening for a trumpet shaped or curved glassvase or other ornament.
The silver plate piece measures 6 1/2" long X 3 1/4" wide X 7" tall. The cylindrical opening is 3/4" in diameter and approximately 3" long. The opening is tapered.
As you can see from my pictures, the plating is completely worn off. It is a uniform grey color all over.
The detail on this figural piece is beautiful.
It is marked on the bottom, in the center, with the WILCOX SILVER PLATE trademark.
The condition is good. There are no breaks or cracks. Other than worn silver plating, I see no problems.
If you have the right vase or insert, this is a super find!
Thanks for looking!
