i got this when i was a kid there used to be a hardware store in town and my father took me there all the time because they also sold guns . there was a giant of a man that worked there and this was his hat . he did not speak much english but from what i was told he had defected from china during vietnam . he had to be close to 7 foot and built like a mountain . the hat is not marked with a size but it is big on me so i would guess it is a 61 or 62. the star is not sewn on all than well but it has been like that for almost 40 years that i have owned it so i guess it is not coming off any time soon. this is probably the only large sized chinese hat you will ever find
