Vintage & Victorian Sterling Walter Lampl Puffy Heart Enamel Charm Bracelet For Sale
MAGNIFICENT STERLING PUFFY HEART BRACELET WITH A MIX OF VICTORIAN & 1940's CHARMSWith 8 puffy hearts and a marvelous Lampl padlock this bracelet is collector item. Everything is marked Sterling and all are authentic charms of the period. The hollow bracelet chain is marked sterling on the end link also. The 3 smaller puffy hearts with the pink stones are marked sterling around the bale.DETAILS: 8 Sterling hearts - 3 have stones - 1 is a locket. Everything is marked sterling Lampl padlock is engraved Maxine 5 hearts are beautifully engraved The first heart is engraved R The next heart is engraved RUTH 1 heart is engraved EL The heart next to that: EARLINE The last heart is engraved Violet Padlock is marked Sterling & WLMEASUREMENTS: 7" total lengthLargest heart is 3/4" & the smallest is 1/2"PADLOCK: 1 3/16" x 3/4"CONDITION: Very good condition. The only heart that has a small dent on the back is the chrysanthemum heart. The locket closes with a "snap" and the stones are all secure. Now, about the Lampl padlock... The photos of the padlock are magnified in order to get a good idea of its condition. As you can see, there is enamel loss at the bottom of the heart. There is a hairline crack at the top, which splits off into a few hairline cracks. While this is s gorgeous piece, it is pre-owned and definitely was worn. I can I just imagine "Maxine" putting on her puffy heart bracelet everyday, some 60-70 years ago! So, this padlock does not open or anything like that. I'm not going to pull on it. It was once a keychain or a heart for a necklace. With some creativity, it is now a very cool looking bracelet padlock. It stays shut just fine. Please use the photos.
