Vintage 12" Carved Wood Head Character Doll, Antique Clothing, Laura by Turner

You are offerding on a vintage 12" carved wood head character doll - she has a handwritten tag attached to inner dress "Laura, 1840, Wooden from Turner". Head is carved with three dimensional face, indication of ears, and carved small bun back of head. Cloth is well made including apron with pocket, lace trimmed petticoat with utility petticoat under this, lace trimmed bloomers, painted shoes - old brooch pinned to bodice. There is a small carved wood bun attached to back of head. Body is jointed at hips, and has straight carved wood legs, carved wood spoon like hands with cloth upper arms, body and torso appear to be one carved piece.

Condition: Excellent condition throughout with nice patina to wood carving. Primitive carving has nicely made face....... and costume.
