Vintage 14K Champleve Detail Pearl Bar Brooch / Pin by Kristian M Hestenes of Bergen, Norway. The brooch measures approximately 2 1/4 inch in total length and has a foldover pin stem with foldup safety latch. The cultured saltwater 1/2 pearl measures approximately 6 mm. The brooch is stamped with the Hestenes jewelers markand tested for 14K, itis accompanied by the original velvet and silk lined leather box that is marked K. Hestenes, Gullsmed, Bergen. The brooch is hollow and there is some damage to one side on the underside next to the pearl (see photos). It looks like it was bent a little and the gold has separated in that area. The box shows some scuffs commiserate with age. They have not been cleaned and are both as found.
My husbands father brought back many lovely pieces of jewelry, porcelain, clothing, perfumes, and household items to his new bride upon his return from Europe after WWII.
