Combined shipping is done at the sellers discretion. If you purchase more than one item from us, they may arrive in separate packages. We will endeavor to consolidate as much as possible.

Sometimes shipping takes a long time to get through customs - we've seen it take 6 weeks and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason. Please work with us, communicate regularly, and we'll do everything we can to make sure you have all of the same information that we have.
Please note: We no longer offer flat rate international shipping on USPS Priority Mail. However, in the event that our shipping cost is less than buyer pays, we always refund the difference!
Customs Forms: We fill out a lot of customs forms. We usually generalize description of item(s) so as not to draw attention to them. However, please do not ask us to lie about an item's qualities or value. To state something is a gift or that it is worth almost nothing would be to commit fraud and we cannot do this. We recognize that some buyers may be turned off by this policy but in order for us to bring you the very best items at prices dictated by the world market, each buyer must consider this independently.
Restricted Countries: There are a few countries (including but not limited to Russia, Ukraine, Belarus) to which we cannot send packages. Some of our best customers hail from these countries so we want to offer our products to them. Please contact us if you would like to offer on or purchase items and are from one of these countries so we can relax the restricted requirements accordingly. We will do so in all cases where we can. We will work with buyers to provide documentation of shipment and any other information they request of us.
Please contact us prior to offerding if you fall in this category or if you are not sure. We can do things for you such as ship via Registered Mail at added cost. We think this requires a signatory to pick up packages from your local customs office but we're not sure about the details.

Buyer pays for return shipping unless the item was not as described in the sale. Ocasionally we make mistakes (who doesn't?) but we will NEVER misrepresent something on purpose!
Buyer must return items within 14 days, exactly as received and in original packaging (that means in jewelry box if one was provided, but not necessarily the outside box :-).

David and Kara are a husband and wife team with a love of jewelry and other fine things. Kara's Karats began as a way to raise money to help our kids with expenses in school - you know, cars, tuition, the dentist, etc. It has turned into a labor of love for us and we plan to grow this business in a big way during the coming year!
That's right... At some point, we can go out and buy great things for you during normal hours, and answer your questions shortly after you ask! Instead of "closing down the shop" on weeknight evenings, we'll "open the store" for our suppliers and find even better deals for you :-)
Our Own Inventory:
We have found that we make the most satisfied customers, by listing our products at 99 cents and letting the world's market tell US how much something is worth. Thus, our job as sellers is to locate items at minimum prices and bring them to you as quickly and accurately as possible. If you are ever looking for something we DON'T have, let us know. Part of our job is knowing what the market desires and you can help with that.
We do sell items on consignment and if something is offered at a fixed price, or a starting offer of greater than 99 cents, there is a good possibility that it is being sold on consignment. In these cases, we are willing to bring reasonable offers to their owners. However, if something is made of gold and your offer is less than that of gold's spot melt price, it wouldn't make any sense for the owner to sell it to you. Therefore, we may counter but in all likelihood, that does not constitue a reasonable offer and we'll probably disregard it.
