Vintage 1920's - 30's 14k Gold Natural Amethyst Art Deco Bracelet For Sale
Vintage 1920's - 30's 14k Gold Natural Amethyst Art Deco Bracelet
This sale is for a colorful and finely made, 14k solid gold and natural amethyst bracelet, that is from the 1920's - 30's.This piece is not marked but tests positive for 14k solid gold and the stones have been identified by a certified gemologist to be natural Amethyst. The bracelet measures 7" long, the amethysts are all 10mm x 7mm, and is 4mm thick at its thickest point. The bracelet is petite and delicate, weighing 7.8 grams, and closes securely with its original spring ring clasp. The bracelet has a few irregularities to the setting and must have been repaired at some point. The delicate chain is a different length at either end of the piece and some of the amethyst have connecting links that are uneven (they connect at different points and the loops are attached at different directions) which causes the amethysts to not lay perfectly when worn -some of them lay a little crooked. The amethysts are a deep and rich purple that is beautifully matched across the bracelet. The amethyst sit in an open setting, they are smooth at the top and faceted on the bottom, to enhance the depth in color in the stone. There are no chips to the amethyst, just a tiny bit of surface wear that is noticeable only upon close inspection, and the surfaces still gleam and the shapes are still crisp and fresh looking. Overall this is a colorful and finely made, 14k solid gold and natural amethyst bracelet, that is from the 1920s '- 30's that is in good condition.
