Vintage 1930's 11" Japanese Celluloid Wind-up Mandolin Playing Clown, Scarce:
Up for your offerding consideration we are offering this scarce vintage Japanese made celluloid and tin wind-up mandolin playing clown! Looking to date from the 1930's, he is stamped in black, Japan on bottom of pot metal shoe. Hat, head, arms are celluloid, mandolin and body are tin, shoes are heavy pot metal. He is complete and in very good condition. Mechanism works when key is turned, I did not want to wind it too far. His body sways back and forth and hand strums the mandolin, which is tuned to a Japanese chord. Minor soiling on cloths. He measures 11" high and about 4 1/2" wide. A hard to find pre WW2 Japanese made tin and celluloid wind-up toy clown, will make a very nice addition to your collection! Feel free to email me with any questions you may have. Buyer only pays actual shipping cost with no handling charges.
