Vintage 1930s Wedding Dress And Veil With Wax Flowers:
This is a vintage 1930s wedding dress with wax flower veil. The fabric is thin with flocked flowers and is lined with taffeta. The dress has issues and the veil holder of wax flowers has been separated from the veil itself which also has issues. I will do my best to describe the beauty of this dress as well as the issues. The bodice is fitted - gathered around the breast area. There is a hole under the right arm which could be repaired fairly easily. There is a dark area center front - I did not try to remove this but I know there are several ways of removing stains for those of you who are experts. There are covered buttons all down the back of the bodice, several of which are discolored and also a few slightly darkened areas on one side. The sleeves are fitted and button at the bottom. The front of the skirt has one hole. The back of the skirt which has a train hasabout 5 holes in the fabric. The veil is netting with a wide lace edge. It was once connected to the wonderful wax flower headpiece - I did not picture it because it need repair in several areas to reattach the lace border and to reattach it to the headband. The measurements of this vintage dress are: waist 26"; bust 32"; shoulder seam to shoulder seam 14"; shoulder to waist 16"; waist to hem in front 40"; waist to hem back 75".
