Here we offer the iconic \"Pirate on Treasure Chest Music Box,\" by the J.B. Hirsch Foundry, New York, from 1932.Cold-painted gray spelter metal figure with ivorine face, seated on beautifully detailed, heavy metal, hingedtreasure chesttrinket boxthat opens to the tune of \"God Bless America.\"The inside of the box is lined with cedar, andcannonballsserve as its feet. Excellent condition.The hinges have been repaired, so they function splendidly. Minor touch-ups of black paint and a very small touch-up to the ivorine. Music box function works perfectly when box is opened. Measures approximately 7” high x 6\" wide x 5.5-inches deep. Weighs about 6 lbs.
